How do I acquire a library card?
Your library card is free. Replacement cards are $1.00  Just come in to the library during regular hours. You will need a photo ID and proof of address. Click here for more information: LIBRARY CARDS.

When is the library open?
The current library hours are posted on the door to the library and on the library page of this web site. Click here on LIBRARY PAGE  to find out more.

How long may I keep a book?
 The normal loan period for books is 21 days. Interlibrary Loan items have a loan period of two weeks and cannot be renewed.    
DVDs have a loan period of 7 days.
There is a fine of 25¢ per item per day on overdue materials.For more information about renewals and so forth click on LIBRARY CARDS to the left.

What happens if I’m late or lose my book?
Late fees are charged on all borrowed items turned in late. You are responsible for taking care of anything you borrow, and will be charged for any borrowed items you are not able to return in good condition. For more information about late fees and so forth click on LIBRARY CARDS to the left.

How do I become a member of the Friends?
It’s easy! Just click FRIENDS at the top of the stack of books to the left and them MEMBERSHIP. Or just click HERE to download a form.
How do I return a book?
Books may be returned 24/7 to the book drop just outside the front door of the library, or to the book drop at the circulation desk during regular hours. How do I reserve the media room?
The media room may be booked at the librarian’s descretion. Please speak with the librarian during normal library hours. Click on MEDIA ROOM in the stack of books to the left for more information.

How do I reserve other rooms at the Library?
The entire library complex is called the Commons and is run by the Friends of the Round Valley Public Library. Inthe stack of books to the left, just click on FRIENDS and then RESERVE A ROOM to go to the correct page. There you will find information regarding use of the non-library parts of the Commons, which include the Community Room, the Community Room Lobby, the Community Kitchen, our Commons Patio, and our Walnut Orchard.
